Article length for Google ranking

Search volumes and competition levels are critical when deciding how long your article should be, when trying to rank for specific keyword phrases.

Below are some guidelines:

1. Local SEO Articles where searches are below 100 per month require the bare minimum. Yoast requires a minimum of 300 words to check that off, we suggest trying to get to about 500 to give yourself and extra edge.

   In article forge, type in the main keyword you want to rank for and then select a series of sub-keywords and select short article. If you have 2 articles with similar phrasing to create eg ‘land surveyor canterbury’ and land surveyor kent’ you should probably look for 3 ub-keywords to use. EG:
   Land Surveyor > What do land surveyors do?
   Land Surveyor > Boundary disputes
   Land Surveyor > Services offered

   This will enable you to get enough content to generate the 2 articles concerned without too much duplication
